Meetings At Number 10

Over the last 12 months Stephen Duckworth, Geraldine Stirling and Nick
Edwards have been invited to five meetings at Number 10 Downing Street. Two
were with the Prime Minister, Tony Blair, and others with his senior
officials to provide advice on welfare reform. The meetings were highly
productive and have led to Stephen Duckworth being appointed as a Special
Adviser to
Jim Murphy, The Minister of State for Welfare Reform.
They
have worked together closely with other colleagues in the development of the
Green Paper on Welfare Reform, which aims to significantly improve
opportunities for Incapacity Benefit recipients to return to work.
